Is this normal? Stabilized wood issues.

@Strigamort Lee Valley up here carries a 100% pure tung oil (as well as a 100% pure walnut oil, i think), no solvents/mineral spirits in it so it doesn't smell like v.o.c's for weeks, and is a drying oil like linseed so it penetrates the wood cells and then slowly solidifies...takes a lot longer to dry than the local hardware store's cocktails labeled "tung oil" but is nice (and healthy) to work with, and gives wood a nice rich glow...its the only wood treatment i use these days...
