is this normal ???

ok, this is hard to explain. i have a leatherman blast but upon opening the pliers to all-most fully opened it has some resistance so i looked at the back of the plier head when closed and saw that the little "track" rubs against the metal handle and im not 100% sure if this is normal or if its a defect ????

It is a little hard to see on the pics. My Kick has something like that at the back of the pliers. There is contact with the handles. They open easier after sime time. Bigger pics might show i'm wrong.

oh ya, maybe its just my eyes but it also appears that the were it rubbing bent the metal a bit or maybe its suppose to be like that ????

All of my leatherman a are like that. It's so the slipjoint engages to keep the handles open.
