So I got the S90V Manix 2, and while I think it is a perfect pair for my S90V Military, I find it a little unsettling it doesn't have the hollow grind of the original.

Since starting with Spyderco I have used very few hollow ground knives. It seems to be bringing a nostalgic feeling for me. :o

Are you saying you didn't know it was FFG when you bought it? Or that its too bad because you would rather have the hollow grind? The wording isn't clear to me. :)

No, I knew it had a FFG, I just though it would be incredibly awesome, instead I was a bit blah about it.

Hollow grind Military anyone? :D

This one is a little more subtle than some other models. It may just take a little pocket and hand time before it hits you how nice it really is ;)

Even though I mostly prefer full flat grinds, for some reason the Manix 2 looks weird to me without a hollow grind.

A Military with a hollow grind would be really strange. :p It's hard to even picture it.

Prefer a hollow grind on a limited release S90V Manix 2, WTF??

Military with hollow grind?? Sacrilege!

This is the talk of a crazy man! I say remove his typing fingers!!:D(with a FFG blade of course, cause they rule!)

Sorry Josh, to answer your question, this is definitely not normal.

I have a 154CM Manix2 inbound which I am planning on sending to Krein for a FFG. I will glady swap blades too, since that FFG S90v is too much blade for you. :p:D

I'll take this all as a "No." :D

I love the S90V Manix, but I'm starting to wish for a couple more hollow grind models.
