Im sorry to say that yes that is a Fake. I would try and get you money back.

Mike

if its fake its real heartbreaking,as i thought it is genuine,
strangely its benchmark logo is very well engraved and its movement is not at all like fake chinese movement, its very smooth and very sharp and its locking system also seems flawless
anyway if its really fake i will be really disappointed
i have some dark op knives too whose pictures later i will post,i hope they are original

It seems you suspected it was fake, since you asked about it.

thank you people all
i will be more careful from now
my guess is that there are so many fake knives now that atleast 50% of all knives are fake in markets around the world, specially outside US.
i have seen a boker knife that was so well made, only thing that gave it away was its ultra light weight that told me that it cant be boker original

Someone added a couple of stickers to a very inexpensive imported knife.

no they are not stickers
the benchmade logo is very neatly and well engraved, infact after seeing that logo so well engraved neatly i decided to buy it
if it were sticker i would never have bought it
anyway thanks you guys for info

when you look at the knife benchmade puts the model number of the knife under the butterfly logo. They usually only put the butterfly logo on one side of the blade and will stamp with the exact kind of steel they use. The fact that this just says "stainless steel" suggests that it is a fake. The thumb stud is another givaway that it's fake. Benchmade thumbstuds are usually stepped.

It’s a fake, and a very poor one at that. Most people who make fake knives at least have the good sense to try an copy an actual design.

They wouldn’t have used a “tip up” configuration on a liner/frame lock.
BM has never used that blade or handle design.
They don’t put “stainless steel” in the tang.

Please say you are joking about thinking that was anything that even remotely looked like a Benchmade.

Yep, the "Stainless Steel" thing is what immediately stood out to me... then you look at the rest of the knife and it's just glaringly obvious it's not a genuine Benchmade. Definitely a fake.
