Is this really a 1968 110?

...Here's one showing the brass rocker rivet and the integral rear bolsters with no spacer...

If whatabeaut says it is a 1968, then I would say it is a 1968. He knows his Bucks.

Help me understand.

I've got one that has a steel rocker pin (plus two brass pins in the handle). It's also got one brass rivet in the top bolster and two visible brass rivets in the bottom bolster and what looks like a steel spacer between the bottom bolster sides. Is that what you're calling a spacer? I've got another one made in 2001 that has no visible rivets in the bolsters but the same kind of spacer? if I'm learning right.

The one in the ebay picture has the same kind of bottom bolster as the one I've got (two brass rivets).

Thanks.

I think it might have been changed actually from 68 to 69 during it's auction time.
I'm trying to remember but pretty sure it was stated as a 68.

Yup, that's what they call a spacer.

Have you studied Joe's sticky on the 110 at the top of the main Buck page here?

I didn't see that, but I'm sure it's possible. Once things appear here, changes often happen. The records show that changes were made, they just don't tell us what changes.

Thanks, I saw that.

I wish e-Bay would tell us what people changed. That info would be real helpful sometimes.

whatabeaut is a straight up buck collector..

and will do so again ....
he does know his bucks and has some hard to find quality knives!

Well I bought it from him and am very happy to be in the game. It looks to be a nice
piece.
I did see the "sticky" and did print it out for further study. Thanks to all who contributed
to it for the benefit of others. I am looking forward to studying the 110 more. Thanks guys for all your help and input. :)
