Is this really a 1968 110?

I think you got a fair deal, although you might want to send a copy of Joe's sticky to Mr. Whatabeaut just to make sure he knows what he sold.

;)

I don't know if it exists but what would be really helpful would be a good sketch of the
parts of the 110 with their names for reference. It might be a good sticky?

I'll take some more pic's when it arrives and post 'em.

BG42EDGE I will agree that was a good deal. I dont think I would have turned a deal like that down. That is two great Buck knive at a very reasonable price IMHO. I also know how easy it is to make a mistake on identifying Buck knives at times, even with the info Joe puts out there for us. According to Joes charts there are four different style of 110's for 1967 alone. from 1970/1972 there are brass, and stainless pivot pins on the 110's. HL

I agree that some 110s might be difficult to ID, but this particular 110 was easy to find on Joe's list and there's really no excuse for listing it as a 1968.....then a 1969--when it was clearly in the 1970 to 1972 time frame on Joe's list.

But, like you say, it was a good deal anyway, just appears that it was a little sloppy on the listing in a way that favored the seller.

Will be happy to see pics.

I don't know of a parts diagram like you describe, but if you hang around here something like that may turn up or you will just pick up the knowledge.

That was a cool sheath you got, too.....maybe not the one it originally came with, but a real nice-looking sheath.

Thanks for all the thoughts and info guys. I'm happy with the purchase and am
becoming a bigger fan of the Buck 110's. I am starting to pick up more and more
info as I read through this fine section of Blade Forums. I've been looking to start
a pattern of one particular style of knife and I think I might have found it. :)
