The engraving is similiar to, but not exactly the same as, a Newari khukuri I got from Uncle Bill about 10 years ago. It has a good feeling/comfortable handle & balances well.
Uncle Bill don't ever worry about the prices you had to charge back then. Every khukuri I purchased was & is worth the money I paid for them. It has never bothered me not to know who made them for sure. All have been tested & none has ever failed. Ron S. has to rehandle one when young'un #2's hands got to the size of a small ham, but that khukuri is still working with him everyday in the field, on his job. More than a few of those early blades are almost mystical. Even using them in snow, ice, frozen trees & etc., none have failed. Can't put a price on that kind of quality. I consider myself lucky that I was able to get a few of them. Thanks.
