Is this the correct sheath for a Schrade 498?
If not I'll have to make a few up.

No Warman its not correct sheath..please read the post above on 49'Er Series knives you will see the correct pattern sheath.

Larry, can you help with a link? The screw holding the butt of the knife on is steel.

neat sheath though. wonder what was suppose to go in the lower pouch? looks like a smaller knife?

Guess I'll be looking around for a doner sheather to fabricated a few in my leather shop.

My (IKAC) guess is that sheath is from one of the 50s-60s Imperial combo sets with hunting knife and camp knife but it may be from a different manufacturer altogether and been made for two fixed blades. Here's a link: http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/Imperial/1959-Imperial.pdf
