is this worth sending off to heat treat

I agree with most to go ahead and have it heat treated. But I think you should also start making another improved version and send them both in at the same time. Then when you're done you will have two knives. Use the first one for lots of testing, and don't be afraid to use it hard. Maybe do some stuff on the verge of being destructive, so you really know its limits. Then you'll have a lot more confidence in what the second one is capable of, while still keeping it looking nice.

that is a great idea I'll have to do. but this knife is 1095 and my next metal I am gonna use is gonna be AEB-L. I definitely need to practice on my handle shape and plunge lines.
