I have heard you can do nearly anything to a busse knife and busse will replace or fix it? Is this true or is there limitations?

100% true. I asked here how to fix my knife and Jerry himself told me to send it in and it'll be 100% when I get it or I get a new one. He did so without me asking him to. I had my knife back within 2.5 month good as new, and he didn't ask even what I was doing to break it.

No BS they stand behind their knives like no other company.

It's a great warranty! ... And there are only 2 reasonable limitations that I'm aware of...

1.) intentional damage. If you set out to damage the knife just to damage the knife, i.e. a destruction test or shooting at it with a firearm, this will void the warranty.

2.) Modifications that remove metal and/or handle material may cause the warranty to be voided if the work was performed by anyone else other than the Busse Custom Shop. I'd say that Jerry has the final call on this, as merely resharpening the knife won't void the warranty, but re profiling it down to some ridiculously thin angle and then tearing out the edge based on the new edge angle might.

Keep in mind that I don't work for Busse Combat so I might be forgetting something, or made an error in my statement above. :)

From the Busse Combat website:

We guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage forever.

Jerry Busse

Yup,

Screwed it up, sent it back, new one (new blade, same scales) arrived in a couple of weeks

Best warranty in the industry !

Or if the knife is #27 :)

watch the vids in this link. If you think you want to ever push a steel. Infi is the one you want:cool: It still shaved paper afterwards:eek:

I have always thought this was some amazing stuff, but if you could see the edge in person afterwards you would be a believer:thumbup: I drank the Kool-aid. Yes I did and I have beat a bunch of Busse and been impressed but I am still shaking my head of these videos:thumbup:

That being said, anybody ever shoot a Busse? Just kinda curious

Yep there is a vid here where a dude shoots his mistress and it splits the bullet in two.

There has also been a wounded badger, where knife got hit by a bullet and protected its owner.

I'll let you know if I ever break one. If Jerry says it's true then you don't have anything to worry about. Buy one and go beat the crap out of it. I Guarantee you'll enjoy the hell out of it!!!

I think the one thing to be careful of is if it's one of the old classics that they can't replace anymore. You get shop credit for the ORIGINAL price. Don't go messing up a 1 of 300 SHBM or a SHSHII...

I have heard that a Busse was broken when shot with a 30-06. Jerry replaced it. I know a member here shot one with a .22LR, to no ill effect. Beer may have been involved in that one.

Some guy in Europe beat on the spine of a Scrapper 6 (?) for hours with a pipe wrench until it broke. He got a new one.
