Is white MOP dead?

I wonder if the recent rise in quality digital photography is connected to the black lip trend. On average black lip tends to show more color right off the bat. It gets captured in images and these images probably reach a large audience. I love the color of black lip pearl the most but it seems to show less texture then white pearl in person.
