Nice score!
Angie is an excellent driver and refuses to hit a squirrel, much less a turkey. Even more disturbing, the "deer" around here are much less numerous, and way, way smaller than in central WI where I grew up. They look like sad little grey dogs compared to what I'm used to...![]()
And the Buzzards wasted no time picking the bones and eating the guts!

nice deer
how's the car?
she's hit more than one deer within a few hundred yard of the house?
just how fast and furious is she?![]()
I saw that too.so, i'm noticing there are EIGHT deer legs there.
that's a weird mutant deer, eh?

This is the end all and be all of Becker pictures, cannot be beat.
I noticed you kept the hide and the head together when you removed them, particular reason? you making a deer costume?![]()
Those are some great pictures Dex!! Thanks for sharing and for validating my purchase of the 16.
Nice score!
I just ate dinner... but you made me hungry again!
I was watching virtual voice (hello knife people) on you tube field dress a deer with the 16, he thought the 16 was great for the task, even preferred it over his usual bark river. But yeah a gift from the gods mate, plenty of meat there. Any damage to the vehicle?

You didn't live anywhere near Stevens Point, did you? I got my bachelor's degree from UWSP and still have quite a few connections there.
Dex, any damage to the vehicle? Nice seeing pics from all the different steps of processing. Glad to see it kept you out of trouble for the day!
Meat for 6 months. Yes please
....Wife's a Horrible Driver nuthin',
She just had a taste for venison....![]()
Cheers, B.T.B.
I wonder if the 2 redheaded ones are hybrids?? Usually the black-headed Mexican Vultures run the red-headed Turkey Buzzards off. The MVs are smaller but more aggressive than the TBs. TBs hunt by smell, MVs by sight and smell. The MVs will attack healthy calves, lambs, dogs, cats, etc, without waiting for them to die.
Some ranchers in Oklahoma are trying to get the MVs removed from the Migratory Bird Act to allow shooting them while in the act of attacking livestock, rather than having to go through a long, drawn-out permit process of having to show proof and persuade a F&G commission that the rancher had suffered economic loss and be granted "special permits".
edited to add back in "d"s - the "d" on my keyboard doesn't work 1/2 the time and I have to go back and spell check myselfAnd I missed a few "d"s.
That was one fantastic thread, great photos and a few backstraps recipes to boot.
A friend of mine has had hit a number of deer over the years in Jackson County, MI. They are everywhere.
He has a good sense of humor; his car has several small deer stickers on the fender and he affixed a hunters orange cap to the hood ornament. Should make ace soon.![]()
Awesome mouth watering thread
Dex, I want to make a hunting trip out there for some of those Axis if they're on open season.
so, i'm noticing there are EIGHT deer legs there.

Cleaning the whole deer with one knife, well done.
