I have heard pretty bad things about zt. But I like their designs the bad things I have heard are bad factory edge and grind, poor heat treat on elmax etc. What do u think

Read a few threads.
It seems to have more fans than the Rolling Stones, & good customer service.

My experience with ZT knives has been nothing but positive. I heard there was some complaints of problems with elmax blades, but every one that I have had has been amazing. I really think they are one of the best bangs for the buck, just my two cents.

Their knives are very well built, their materials are top notch and they have really great collaborations and designs. They also have very good customer service.

I've never had an issue with a bad factory edge. They're not the angles that I usually like, but a sharpening quickly fixes that. The Elmax issue has been discussed at length, not to mention they have plenty of other steels to choose from.

I am curious where you hear these things? Very rare do we hear of a ZT problem so it is kind of surprising that you hear it a lot. Personally I love them and think they are a great company!

I've had a great factory edge & grind on my elmax blades which also seem to have a great heat treat.

I too have heard elmax complaints however they seem to have improved drastically over the last few years.

Are you kidding me? I'll be honest, there was an issue with a batch of their Elmax but everything has been taken care of. I've owned several ZT's and only have good things to say about them. They are overbuilt knives suited for actual use.

Their customer service is top notch and they have some of the best fit and finish of any company around. Not to mention their use of premium materials and award winning collaborations with Hinderer, Sinkevich, Onion and Strider. Sorry if I'm coming off a little biased, but they are anything but a bad brand.

Do some searching around the forum. You'll find a lot of positive feedback.

Yeah, like mtangent said keep reading, you'll find way more praises than complaints. I've never been a fan of most of their designs which is totally my personal preference, but the upcoming 0562 broke me and I have one on preorder. Pretty excited about it, not worried at all. Whichever one you're looking at, I'd say go for it.

I think you have listened to a bunch of bull stuff. They do a great job every knife I've bought from them has had excellent grinds, fit and finish, and razor sharp from the factory. They are my favorite folders. They also have outstanding customer service.

I have many and have never had an issue. Blown away by the high quality and incredible durability of ZT knives. They are truly built like a tank. About as close to custom quality as you can get without going custom.

this is definitely a troll thread........

my first thought was "are you F'n kidding me?!"

then again.... this could just be a really negative person were dealing with. Someone who reads all the positives and then finds a negative and then ..... uhoh.... all the positive things go out the window!!!! I doubt it though :P

Yes ZT sucks. You should feel bad for owning them. Send me all the ZTs you have immediately for disposal.

What a crock of shit! I don't think I've really ever heard anything negative about ZT.
