I order my own presents. My loved ones know how extremely picky I am, don't give me a gift, I'll take 20 percent less in cash. That way I avoid returning the gift and the hassle of spending the gift card. 😃

That said, my birthday is in May. I usually have the knife ordered by February to ensure it's perfect. My wife let's me carry it for a few days, then she puts it into hiding till birthday day.

Problem is this year I may have picked out my Christmas knife already! Lusting after one that may or may not be around by fall time. Is March to early to order my holiday knife???

Ha! ya sound like my type. Gift cards only from friends and family. That way know I will always have fun money for knife trinkets. Father's Day is coming. Hmmmm

X := US average life expectancy (-75 years for males currently)
Y := your current age

Z := knives you can order today = 2 x (X - Y)

(2x because of birthday and Christmas)

I don’t order early…. Another knife I want will come along soon. My attention span is like a 2 year old!

I usually wait till after birthdays/holidays so I have the cash before picking something out.

Ordered!!!
What did you get? I do the same thing honestly. The wife did surprise me on my first Father’s Day with a Buck 110 Slim Pro. She knew I wanted it but I never thought she’d get it. Took our 10 month old to SMKW during peak tourist season to get it.

Why i was hoping you'd ask! This is on the way. Sooooo bored with 2022 offerings this year, so went with a para2 from kp in damascus cf and now this one.

SmKW has always been good people to.me, nice it's close to you....or dangerous 😳.

If my wife knows how much I spent on knives, I’ll find my belongings on the driveway.
I always order my gifts/knives for myself, this way I’ll have another gift from my wife.
‘My friends usually give me gift cards, if I feel guilty about the price of the knife I purchased, I might give some cards to my wife, otherwise the funds goes to the next purchase… :cool::thumbsup:

Love that bugout! I’ve been pining After a PM2 for years but haven’t pulled the trigger. Yea, I’m about 5 miles from SMKW, very dangerous but luckily I hate the crowd so I rarely go. A few years back they rubbed me the wrong way. Online prices for spydercos were about 15-20% less than in store so I started going every week or so to get a new one but would ask for the online price. After the 3rd-4th purchase a manager/supervisor told me that I was welcomed back but they wouldn’t honor the online price for me because I was abusing it.
