Issue knives and tools for LEOs?

I recently sold knives to a small police department (9 men.) They bought Benchmade Axis lock folders and Leatherman Waves. I don't know whether they got together and decided what they wanted or whether some individual decided for them but they bought good equipment. Perhaps their chief is a knife nut.
