Issue with CRKT M16-02X (Crossbar Lock) – Feedback and Advice

I'd guess and it's just a guess......it's a tolerance issue. stop areas are cut with too much play or blade stock left bit too long..something like that. I'd exchange it. I'm sure there is others without this issue.

I've run into this same issue on a knife from a different company. they fixed it by grinding the blade width shorter so it didnt hit. so it ended up with a thicker stock edge. that's why I'd push for an exchange, so that doesn't happen to you.

Some sellers will cherry pick a replacement if you explain the problem and request they check . 😎

There should be a stop pin , or something , that the blade tang rests against when closed .

This should keep the sharp edge from ever hitting anything else on the knife innards .

Good luck ! 🙁
yes I am waiting for the seller's response and I will ask for an exchange. Thank you for your "good luck" 😉

yes indeed it can have several different possible problems or several combined problems I don't know...in any case one thing is sure is that I will ask for an exchange and certainly not a repair. Thanks for your advice 😉
