Issue with Email Notifications (Anyone else having this problem?)

Starting at 12:00 am CST, 1/14/2022, I noticed that all email notifications no longer have the "body" of the post. The notifications only provide the title of the thread any nothing else.

Anyone else have this issue?

It makes them way less useful, especially considering how slow the site is. Really irritating change, what was the reason for it?

You've probably tried this, but just in case, there's a link to "watched forums" in the (otherwise now-empty) content area of those emails. Follow that link to a list of your watched forums, there are options to control email about them.

So, I am by no means any sort of expert with this forum software. Just an occasionally grumpy user fumbling around with it. But from what I can tell... (And if anyone knows better, please jump in and correct me)

Alerts are notifications that something happened to something the software thinks you care about. You can control the settings for the conditions under which the software will "alert" you, and also optionally email you, at https://www.bladeforums.com/account/preferences , look at "Content options".

There are also "email options" for other various conditions under which it will email you.

You can see your current alerts at https://www.bladeforums.com/account/alerts , and I think they show up in that "bell" menu at the top-right when you load a page.

Maybe this doesn't even matter anymore since there's no post content in email notifications.

But what do I deselect so that I don't get email notifications for a post that I already received an initial notification when the original post was made? Not even sure of the purpose of the "follow ups". Are the follow ups for when any edits are made to original post? And I'm referring to posts that I'm not watching.

Also having the issue of only receiving the thread title in emails I'm sub'd to. The body disappeared sometime earlier this week.

Noticed this as well. I use the email notifications as a record of asking prices for knives in a specific sub, since everyone is in the habit of hiding the sale price after it's complete. If the emails are no longer going to include the post's body then no point in receiving them anymore...

And for mine, a yahoo account which I know had troubles earlier, seems to still have problems. As in getting a flood one time, nothing the next and a smattering of emails from days ago and yes as those above mentioned, no content other than the notification of the thread and poster that posted at that time.

Since the change over when email was nonexistent I've gotten use to not getting anything and just rely on checking the forum itself for any updates.

I’m having the same issue of no thread content only title in the email notifications as well. Is there a way to fix this?

This really was the only way to document an original listing. Now there is no way to go back and see an original listing if there is a dispute and a seller edits the thread.

Hopefully some can look into this and respond.

I am having this issue also.In fact it has me so unsure that I am uneasy that I haven't wanted to address other issues I am experiencing.
I want to change my email address to a non yahoo account but that just might really mess me up.
I can't remember when my gold renewal date is but when I try to check it says expiration date never.
I don't know how to deal with that,I know I am a popular guy but that seems to good to be true.
Also seeing samuraistuarts account being hacked has upset me.Stuart was pushing the edge of knife grinding and steels I hope he comes back.
I like the bladeforums and will continue to do so.

Yahoo, verizon, aol and several other domains that are owned by the same company completely filter out all emails from us.

The notifications not containing the full text was something I just did a couple days back to trace some issues with server load and other issues. It's staying for the near future until I get some more data.
