It all started because I needed a hunting knife.... A stealth HOG's story

Wow, I nearly spit my coffee out when I seen that first pic! What an epic collection, that is a lotta of pork. Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves the sage colored blades.

Regarding the GW's...
I did not see one with the Desert Storm G10...
Then again I saw more than I ever have before, so who's gonna miss just one warden?

There isn't one.... There's two! The elusive SMOG Wardens are below the Valentine's day "Bloody Warden" in the middle row.

Beautiful collection Tooth I'm in awe of it. The game wardens are before my time but they really seem to be a classic and look like some real users!

I haven't had a chance to put my paws on any yet but they look like a great EDC/Hunting knife.

I am always impressed, but feel trepidatious when pics like these are posted. You have more sack than I, and obviously a revolving wallet with good taste in edged tools.

T&N,

Your story sounds all too familiar - I have not reached the selling phase yet though. :)
Thanks for the post & photos!

You need help brother, that's not normal.

:D
It is pretty normal around this forum! ;):D

I was wondering why the Caldwell knives made the cut but the Koster knives didn't? Ergonomics, edge holding?

kinda surprised that more INFI didn't try to hide in the back of the closet. :)

Good question. I kept the Caldwell knives because the handles fit my hand perfectly. They are also easy to maintain (154CM). The 1-4 is an especially handy knife at just over 5 ounces.

I don't regret selling the vast majority of the knives I've sold, but the Koster MUCK is an exception. It's a great design, super ergonomic and a knife one should consider in any discussion about having only one knife. I shouldn't have sold it and may very well purchase another.

Though it was enjoyable to have had the pile of INFI I once had, I feel better having only the users I really want, and the modest number of "safe queens" I'm most attached to. In fact I'm seriously considering a further reduction to users only, but not today....

My Koster custum Nesmuk is one I regret letting go as well. BTW, I am beyond envious of your BA III. ;)

Some of theses photos should be in the "wallpaper" thread if they aren't there already. The Wows posted above explain my reaction to the first photo posted.

Nice!

Hey man, that's a great start you've got going there. :D

Edit: I kid! You've got a great collection and it looks like we share similar taste. Needs more Sebenzas  The knife choices show more of a collector view than an accumulator. I took my last group shot in 2008 and it was daunting. Some have come and some have gone since then; I'm having a hard time staying motivated with the brand mostly due to lifestyle changes and the growing popularity.

WOW is all I can say... I'm sooooo jealous. That's a great collection of some great knives!:thumbup::thumbup:!!!

Tooth--Impressive Sir!
They are addictive & very cool to collect.
My admission to collecting was similar to yours, although I own a fraction of the Infi you do.
Thanks for sharin!

I think you should have title the thread 'How many forumites can I make say "WOW!"?'

Here's one more, WOW!

Congratulations on an awesome collection.

Wow...super impressive!! It'd take me a damn long time before I get anywhere near this in quantum! Now I'm embarrass to even think about posting my own collection up... :-P
