It does go both ways and it can be very frustrating for a buyer. I recently contacted several makers here with an idea for a knife, nothing too radical. I have received replies like, I'll send you a picture, or I'll get back with you with a price and availability, only never to hear from them again. Juist last week I paid for a knife listed here via paypal that appeared to be an item in stock. When I didn't hear from the maker I requested an update only to be told, the knife is finished but I haven't had a chance to go to the post office. I should be able to get it in the mail sometime this week. I requested that the maker keep me informed. It's been over a week now and I still have no idea where my knife is. Communication is the key guys. We don't mind waiting so much if we just know what the hell is going on.
