It Has Been a Terrible Week...

If it looks like there is a fight ahead you might do well to go over the situation with a TRUSTWORTHY attorney asap. The reason I say trustworthy is that some attorneys have been known to allow a big mess so as to have more to clean up later. Have them run you through some scenarios of what to watch out for and how to prepare for it. Check that all the paperwork is in order etc. You might also make a photo inventory of everything in the house. Just in case things wander. :barf:

Sorry for all the difficulty. Prayers on the way. Btw Do get a good attorney and talk to your grandma and explain that you know that it's a bad time but that the aunt and uncle are over-stepping their boundaries. Maybe while she is still with you she can get things straightened out. I can't believe what some people will stoop to for money.

*Update* Granny went home today. She seems much more at ease, which I can totally understand. Now maybe she can relax and get to enjoy her time. She has Hospice to help her and they provided all the at home necessities like a hospital bed and all that. At least she will get to spend whatever time she has left in the comfort of her own home.
