I got my GIB 2.0 running tonight! Still have a few things to do like mountbthe pyro ceram glass on the platen and bolt the whole thing down.
It tracks just fine with the standard arm. I purchased a new drive qheel from Knifegrinderparts.com that jas an offset set screw. I feel like there is something that could be done to correct the short amount of shaft in the drive pulley.
It is a little slower than i would like it and slightly underpowered. Free motors tend to make you deal with things like that though.
The build went well except for tapping holes on the A36 plate. I think the laser cutting process hardens the holes pretty redically. It ate a few taps for breakfast. I ended up theough drilling a few of the holes and putting the bold through them to act like studs. I will be squaring them and welding them in place shortly.
Can't wait to finish it up amd start grinding some knives
