It"s Here!!

"Do It Yourself" is an activity where a simple modification to your kitchen costs $15,000 as opposed to the exorbitant $1,500 the builder would have charged for the same work done in 1/10th the time. it is of course done 'to save money'.

Ok,

So I now have TWO khuks hanging around the house. The WWII is getting prepped and made all pretty. It is coming along nicely. The handle has it's sixth coat of thinned satin poly on it. (looking good) It has a nice soft glow to it and the pores are soaking up the poly. It should be very hard and durable by the time I'am done with it.

The Chit BAS needs nothing. It is sweet right out of the box. It makes the WWII seem light in comparison. This thing has a very thick spine. Nice knife!

I'll post pics of both in the pics thread when I'am done with the WWII.

First ten minutes with a new khukuri? Hmmm.... I bet you're scurrying around the house right now looking for stuff that's begging to be chopped. (I know that's what I do!!)

Have fun!

Ok.
So I just went out into the backyard and trimmed up some low hanging branches off a tree. Also a couple of oak limbs that had fallen.

WOW!!

This WWII really cuts thru branches like butter. I don't really have it sharp yet either. A solid swing and it sliced thru a good 1" branch. COOL!

I'll save a few for my wife to have at. She has been looking at this purchase with a wary eye. (What is that knife really for, and why do you need two?)

That 18" WWII is looking Tempting. NO NO NO. STOP IT! mwahahah!
