We each take a chance when we love someone that our hearts will one day be broken. We each trade the pleasure of love for the emptiness of loss. And I think we are all better for the trade. It is never easy to accept the passing of a loved one, but acceptance is the first thing we must do to honor their lives and their contribution to our lives.

You are better for having loved. Never think otherwise, no matter how sharp the pain. Allow yourself to live on and, if the opportunity presents itself, to love again. It's a fair trade no matter how many times we have to go through the pain.
