omg I SO need that funnel cake!
I've tried to lose weight seemingly all my life. I'd lose and gain and lose and gain. I found that the worst thing I was doing was cutting calories so severely that as soon as I tried to eat normally again, I'd gain the 20 I lost plus 5 more. Plus, depriving myself just made me cheat all the time.
This past year I cut out probably 60% of the bread in my diet, and I also started "halving" my portions, especially at restaurants. I don't leave the table uncomfortably full anymore, but very much satisfied.
I eat only when I'm hungry and I have a bottle of really cold water with me almost all the time. For instance, today...here it is 4:09pm and all I've had to eat was a hot dog and some fritos. I tore the ends of the bread off the bun (the part where the hot dog doesn't reach). Now I'd like to ease up on the diet soda, I go through easily 5-6 per day.
Now that I've lost some weight I really need to swim or work out or something, cause I feel like I look pretty good, but I feel a tad bit flabby. I'm still smoking tho (bad, Nell!) so working out is quite an ordeal for my lungs. Pft.
Shappa - yup, did all those things. I've spent the last year working as a nanny for twin boys 2 miles from my house. The mom's hours got cut severely, so I'm in the lurch yet again. One of these days maybe I'll pick a career or something. lol
I will have Mark take a picture or two and post them for those of you that have met me, I'm sure you'll see a difference.
