God damn!
That´s a real hardcore monster!
Can´t wait, to see it complete!

I like Jordans style a lot, that's gonna be awesome when it's done :) I love it already

Hey Raban.
How does he make the plasma-coating. He makes it him self or is another company.
That blade looks very interesting.
How thick is it?
Thanks.

Thanks for your comments!

@cabra

The physical vapour deposition is made by a company.

The blade thickness is from 0,35 inch at the riccasso down to a 0,08 inch point.

I think, that knife will be a great camp-knife and chopper!

Thanks.
I does look like a good camp-chopper.
Wanna see it finished.
Keep us posted.

This PVD Titanium Aluminum Nitride coating is great.

Hard use, no problem.

i got 2 other knives with this coating and i have to say its works...

From the internet:
The design of this coating provides exceptional oxidation resistance and extreme hardness. That's why this coating works well in very demanding cutting tool applications, especially when tools are being pushed to the max.

Great looking knife. I just don't understand why it would'nt be a full width, full tang though, instead of a stick/reduced tang, on a blade of that size, that is designed for hard use ?

I've checked the documentation provided by tincoat on TiAlN coating.
According to them, the deposition temperature is 800-850F.
Wouldn't this adversely affect blade tempering? Am I missing something?
