It will be a MONSTER....by Andrew Jordan

I've checked the documentation provided by tincoat on TiAlN coating.
According to them, the deposition temperature is 800-850F.
Wouldn't this adversely affect blade tempering? Am I missing something?

You are right but in this case the provider of the pvd use a temperature under 392 F......so its no problem!

Great looking knife. I just don't understand why it would'nt be a full width, full tang though, instead of a stick tang ?

Maybe because it doesent have to? I personaly believe that large knives works better in hand with stick tangs - better shock absorbing potential.
And another thing - with stick tang you can make nicer, one part guards and pommels.

This knife (short sword ;D) cuts like hell!!!!

The weight, the length and the balance of this great knife creates self-dynamics for cutting.

You have only give it the course and then it does the rest.................

Thanks for this MONSTER, Andrew Jordan!!!

Thanks for the great pictures and demonstration.......quite a superb knife......congrats. :)

That thing looks like it takes BIG bites. Congrats on a cool beast of a blade.

Roger

What? Someone actually USING a big, expensive custom knife for its intended purpose? Heavens!!!!!! What's next? Ferrari owners putting more than 1000-2000 miles a year on their cars??!?!!:eek:Nice score.;)

Hi everybody,
now I want to show you my Kydexsheatsystem by Andrew Jordan.

I had two requirements:

a. Molle compatible for bags
b. to carry on the back

..and Andrew resolved these two things perfect!

He used 2 Austrealpine cobra buckles with clips and a Maxpedition-shoulder strap.

This kydexsheath fits perfect and the system allows different carry options AND a quick release...( one push on the buckle!)

The cobra buckles are brilliant !!!!

But please have a look:
