italian fighting knive

Hi, I bent this knive throwing it at a tree.It's bent at the brass guard so I want to take it apart.The handle is made with leather washers and a aluminum end with a screw in the end. The screw has a brass thing in the center. The leathers are loose in the handle. How do I take this handle apart? This Knive is along the same lines as a K-Bar.8 in. blade. Tnx,Dave

Try using a pair of needlenose pliers and unscrew it.
