At one time you could order any length 124 you wanted. But this one is the only one I’ve ever seen. Looks like a 18” blade?
There's an 8-1/2 incher for sale on EB, but frankly it's a poor example because it's obvious they just left an extra inch on the blank. The finger choil is sticking 1" further out where it does no good, and looks a bit silly. I like the hidden tang style of the old 122/124s, but not with the longer blade ... it doesn't work aesthetically. So I don't understand the appeal of this knife (or its price...).

Wow. Your observations are spot on. Not what I had envisioned at all.
 
Something is wrong with how the phenolic handle meets the top spacer. I've seen others where the seam is perfectly smooth. This looks like a factory variation or mistake. No idea.

I think this is one of the first 122/124.
