Looking forward to the folks who are coming and again, everyone is invited. I will be doing a demostration on spiral fluting handles and setting sterling silver pins. We will also be forging a Sascacthewan Bowie, A couple of ways of making hidden tang knives, hollow grinding and flat grinding. A new way to get rid of the bump on fine grit belts (this will blow your mind). Making Damascus. Building an attatchment for KMG style grinders for grinding intergral bolster knives. Will help on lathe or mill work if asked. Plus whatever anyone else can show. Will be barbecue on hand. Please bring what you would like to drink and Beer is fine. Let me know who can make it to plan on how much food to have.

Dan,
Great that your hosting the hammer-in. Myself and a friend will be coming up that morning. Let me know what food I can bring. I am thinking about bringing some boudin sausage or balls if you guys would eat it. Thanks Dan.

Oh man, I love Boudin. Would be a treat for us.

well things are heating up for this weekend hammer-in. I am actually going to clean the shop. The events will start at 10:00 Saturday morning. Bring whatever you want to work on. If you want to thump with a power hammer bring some steel. My house is easy to find whether coming from Texas, Arkansas or South La. Call me at 318-865-8166 and I will give directions (if no answer, leave # and I will return call.) Remember, all welcome from experienced to newbie.

Dan,
Just thought I'd mention that I've got MAJOR hammer in envy !!! I'd darn near sell my soul to be able to attend but not quite. It is just too close to the Blade Show for me to be able to swing it this year :( . I do envy those who will be in attendance but I just could'nt pass the oppertunity to go to blade. Maybe next year I suppose.

Sounds like a blast! Wish I could make it down, but that sort of trip is likely to wait for after retirement :grumpy:

We will have pictures for those who cant make it. Wish I could beam you here.
