Hello,

I just recieved a negative rating for a registered user on a deal that I am not even aware of. He claims he wanted a knife and I did not sell it to him?

From my last conversation with RYCEN (moderator) I was told "If no money/knife changed hands the general consensus is no deal took place. So no deal=no feedback via itrader."

So I assume what he did is incorrect, I would greatly appreciate it if you could remove the negative rating from my account.

Thank you!

There should be a report icon next to the feedback (red triangle with exclamation point inside). Click it to report the falsely given feedback.

Pump the brakes...
You told the guy you would sell him the knife, and he was contacting you to pay, and you just went ahead and sold it to someone else? That isn't cool at all. You are supposed to honor your word around here. That is not the way we do things around here though, at least in my eyes. You shouldn't have gotten an iTrader feedback, but your complete disregard to communicate with him (based on your visitor messages) is what earned it for you. I wouldn't do business with people like that and I sure don't.

You should have gotten a thread in feedback, stating you didn't honor your word. Ifmtherenare extenuating circumstances formthis, mthey should have been clearly communicated to the potential buyer. I would also recommend thwt you not edit the entirity of your sales threads. It makes what you do seem shady.

Not to be rude but you have no idea what happened.

If you would like to be informed before you throw accusations around feel free to PM me.

I'm going by what I saw in the visitor messages. It would help if when you start a thread, you provide details. I've gone by the details you provided.

Why when I asked you "Did you have any interaction with him at all? He did post in your sale thread." did you not know what sales thread I was referencing and make no mention of the visitor messages? Being vague doesn't make helping or understanding you any easier.

Because when someone leaves feedback there is no reference listen to what thread he was speaking of.

The bottom line is the "itrader" rating is based on feedback from those who buy/sell...not those who don't get what they want. Sometimes people PM or email "I'll take it" before another posts in the thread..

If people here are rated based on thread posts and complain if it's too little too late rather than overall service and honesty I have no reason to belong on this site..

if the buyer emailed you first, why did you leave this guy the visitor message that it was his? 8 hours is hardly too long to wait for payment

Really!? When I say I'll take something payment is provided to the seller within 5 minutes..

Not a different story at all. I was just pointing out you can find out where the feedback came from by clicking on it.

Ok I gotcha

Bottom line is I am upset my selling rating was affected by a poor sport..

I think it should only be based on my honesty as a seller, which has been flawless..

A little advice for future dealings, clear and prompt communication make transactions go a lot smoother.

It sets a bad precedent to let -FB stand on a non-existent deal. No $ was transferred, no product was shipped. The plaintiff's case belongs in the Feedback subforum, if anywhere, but it certainly does not belong in the iTrader stats.

If this doesn't get nipped in the bud, then you can probably expect to see more of these cases in the future. You can stop it now by enforcing a "NO TRANSACTION = NO RATING" policy, or in the future the mods can waste untold hours sorting through a bunch of he-said-she-said black walls of text.

True.

This happened some time ago, but I realize a mod never replied to this recommendation.. Any thoughts?

Mods can't modify feedback. The only person that can change it is Spark. You can email him and ask him to review it, but ultimately it is is decision and his alone to make.

I could care less about the feedback at this point (thought it does annoy me time to time), I am more speaking of a rule relating towards what all 41 + 14 all said above..

As it stands people can leave feedback for ANY reason, all they need is a link to a thread..
