I just came in from firing up the shop for the day. It is a whopping 0 F degrees here in Ohio. If I hurry up maybe I can cryro a few blades by throwing them in the creek behind the shop

What's your temp and location?

I guess I'm in a heat wave compared with the temps in your areas. It's all of 12oF in sunny West Warwick, RI this morning....not to worry though, it'll climb to the mid 20's latter, obviously tee shirt and Bermuda short weather.:D :D

It's 6:30 am in Great Falls, Montana. Saturday, 31 Jan.........right now it's -19 by my thermometer. Just another day in paridise!:)

-6 here too! The older I get the more I dont like the cold. :( Cant wait to retire in 15 years and move to Flordia. :)

Cold here in NH too, Greg. 15 degrees and wind gusting to 14mph. I'm glad you mentioned the cold, lol. I was thinking of a way to tell everyone about my new shop heater. I bought this killer little heater that heats the whole shop! Its only about 14" high, but does a great job. Very heavy duty also. I had to run a special 30-amp circuit for it!!!! Anyhow, its a Dayton heater I bought out of Grainger.

Weatherman says its -5 in columbus, -19 with the windchill. I'll bet the thermometer out on the barn says its even colder here

I HATE WINTER!

8 below in Southern WI, I think my old Lab would still go for a dip in the horse tank if he could get his fat hinder in there.

Mike, Isn't that unusually cold for where you live?

We're having a very mild winter. It will get up to about 65-70 today, just like yesterday. :D

It gets down in the teens often, in a normal winter, but hasn't even snowed here this winter,...yet. We're at 3500 feet elevation, in the mountains.

About -5F here this morn, with a decent wind. Got up to 3F yesterday. A brisk wind gave it a -22 windchill, though. Felt good until you put yer face in the wind.

I'm having a heat wave here in Hanover. at 3:00 am it was 14. at 5:00 when it generally drops a degree it was 16 and now at 11:30 it's 26.
Might break freezing again today:cool:

I think I got everybody beat. For the last two weeks in Fargo, it has not been above -5 as far as I know. With windchill, I heard on the news last night our average temp for January was (-23). Plus the only time it warms up we get a half a foot of snow dumped on us. I haven't been out to my unheated shop in a long time.

Just to make you all jealous, its over 30 Celsius over here and there are a few bottles of Heineken beer waiting for me to pick them up at the freezer!:D
On the other side, it makes me feel sooo lazy...

Hey Mike, I've always thought of a Cottonwood as a low land tree. The name of the town you live in is kind of deceptive. At 3500 feet I can see where it would get alittle chilly...

Right now it's -35 Celsius (I think that's about -28 Farenheit). For us this is a little warmer than usual. Usually this time of year it's -45 Celsius(-49 F if I did the conversion right). I keep telling myself "I chose to live here, I chose to live here ...". I live in the Northwest Territories (about 1200 miles due east of Alaska).

I'm dyin for summer to arrive! :(

Sean
