It's a Camp Knife, that's what...W-2/Desert Ironwood/Stainless

Ahhhhh... NICE! :)

Ferric Chloride/semi-chrome..... Vinegar/Flitz.....Lemon Juice/silicon carbide powder....

;) :D

Very nice my friend... a lot like what I had pictured.

The finish you got on the Ironwood is EXQUISITE!!!

Hey Paul, maybe you can get rid of the squiggly line and the funny looking pattern stuff on the ones I'm sending to you too... ;) :D

Real great work John

I love the design of the knife. It shows great balance. Great flow. Matching specs whereby every part of the knife shows the right shape and size. Very nice fileworks on the exposed part of the tang. Great handle and it looks ergonomic :)

Hope to see her with Paul made boots ;)

Congrats to you John :D

That is georgous! I love all the details! I was wondering about the handle finish as well, but Roger beat me to it!

I have a very kind Master Smith in my home town and he mentions your name in the same sentance when describing "fit and finish"!

I go away for a day and what do I find? That's certainly a lopper. And your faceted pins always amaze me. Where the heck do you get 6000 sandpaper?!

Cheers,

Terry,

3M micron polishing paper...I've got some 8000 grit, but I can't tell which is the rough side...

John

6000 grit, I didn't even know they made that. I wouldn't even know what to do with it if I found some and the 8000 grit, that's what buffers are for. Your a wild man:)

Beautiful knife Jon, absolutely flawless. I agree with Lin, the blade looks like it grew out of the guard.

I can't really think of anything that hasn't already been said- suffice to say, I agree with almost all of it.
That's a beautiful knife:thumbup:

Yowza! Pretty lady, I guess!! I really like the body shape and curves, and the added jewlery really sets her off. Yeah, I would take her to the woods!

Nice work, John!

It never ceases to amaze me what they are doing with plastic these days. That almost looks like real wood!

I'll be looking for it, John, and don't worry i think I can polish that squiggly looking line off the blade.:D

Paul

Spewed my beverage all over my computer screen. "that's funny"

I absolutely love the blade shape and the handle contour. You knives are always inspiring.

Hadda add this! Paul does his stuff, and I quote, "That's prime Beaver-Butt in the insert."

John
John, the best that I can figure with that stuff is that the more brightly colored side is the rough one.:D I have a bit of that paper, but I am not a huge fan of it. I like the the stuff that comes in round sheets that John Perry uses. Even the 4000 grit at least looks like real sandpaper and seems to "cut" a lot better than the 3M stuff. Problem is I couldn't find any on line, so the search goes on.
