Its A girl

Congratulations on the new addition. I hope you have all the best. Go ahead and invest in a good shotgun....you'll need it, to keep the boys away in about 15 years or so......:D :D :D  ;)

Kricket's right, most teenage boys only have one thing on their mind. A little luck doesn't hurt, but just give her your time. Take care, Craig

CONGRATS!!!!!! i hope the best for your soon to be new family member. hopefully she will want to learn knifemaking so you can pass on all your secrets. also look on the bright side. being a knife maker you can make her knife that she will use to cut her wedding cake with when shes about 25 years old.

Well I am hoping that the fact that I am a Knife Maker will help in the years to come. I will just plan to be int he shop working on something when the Said Boy comes over. Maybe that will make him think twice about doing anything I would have done.

And I already own a couple guns so those are still an option.

Take it one step further and teach the little one to grind & shoot. ;) Here is a pic of my Daughters 1st Firearm. An "Oregon Arms" Chipmunk in 22 LR, 29-9/16" OAL. She was so little when I got it for her that I had to make the T-handle shown so that she could pull the firing mechanism back. We've had many, many hours of fun plinking cans and the like :D . It will be tucked away for her to give to one of her little ones some day. Oh man, why did I have to bring that part up, here we are, back to where we started ;) Calculator added for size comparison (this is a really small package, and a tack driver to boot !!)

if you really want to scare him hang a board with a few knives going thru the center of some playing cards and maybe even one going thru a picture of him. that would scare the crap out of me if i went to a girls house and there was my picture on the target board with a knife stuck right between the eyes.

OH I am planning on teaching her to shoot. I used to compete in the Junior Olympics in Small Bore rifle and then later in life Rapid Fire Pistol. I also used to coach a bunch of kids at a local range.

Guess its time to start building her a rifle. I am already working on her first knife.

since you live in houston if you want to you can borrow some of my throwing knives when she starts dating if you wanted to use my idea. ill also lend you some of my throwing stars and a couple of axes. depends on how badly you want to scare him.

Nah thats ok. I do not think I will have that many problems. Plus I can just pull out some of my old Targets from Comp and that should work just as well. Or Maybe hang my Expert 3 medal and some of my Trophies.

that will definetly work alot better. i myself prefer dramatic scare tactics. one i learned was from bill engvil. one of his methods is to pull the boy in close to him so that only he and the boy can hear the convo and tell him "look me in the eyes. you see that girl over there? shes my pride and joy, and if you ever want to kiss her, hug her, hold her hand, or even think about touching her remember this, im not afraid to go back to prison." i like that one alot. i ofcourse am gonna change it up a bit. its still funny to me.
