Good thoughts thejamppa. A good slipjoint becomes part of you. Every nick or spot tells a story that only you know.

I know theres going to be a few that I will "take with me" when it becomes that time.

Great post & responses. When carrying a slippie, I find myself enjoying the "experience" moreso than when carrying a more modern folder. One tends to admire/respect the design & what it signifies more (At least it does to me).

In todays day & age & with information/stimulation coming at us from so many outlets (TV, radio, Internet, IPOD, etc), it's nice to slow down a bit & "enjoy" what we're doing than just doing it.
 
Nice post Jani. I try and live my life at that slower pace. I've seen this mad dash we live in put too many friends and family in an early grave. Slow down and live longer is my motto.
