I know what you mean. I liked it a LOT better when we had no idea what they looked like. I could use my imagination and pretend. Now the cat is out of the bag, it is kind of underwhelming.

I will not go as far as calling the guy a douche bag, but he definately ruined one of the fun mysteries of the Busse brand. I sure never see demands for folder thread around here anymore.:thumbdn:

Gus

+1 to that. I've said all along that Jerry was being smart for not releasing the folder- and sticking to fixed blades. The mystery surrounding the folder was what made it interesting.

indeed, just as some women look better with clothes on, as well as others reaping the benefit of leaving things to ones imagination, that folder was more interesting when shrouded in mystery.

I'm actually elated to find Busse blades that I don't like... so much cheaper that way. ;)

Opinion retracted.

Meanwhile I will be taking pictures of BOSS Street and a KZ in action to post later tonight since I don't have any agreements with Jerry, and I might need to sell them.

I would never really do that.:o

Just making a point. I have too much respect for the Boss.

Now what say we just get back to daydreaming about the BWM. Now that is one blade I can get excited about.

dang.....I missed my sarcasm 101 class today:D

Ok, I admit it--you lost me here. Your point was...?

My point is this: I have not made an agreement, signed or otherwise to not disclose pics of a BOSS Street or a KZ in action. Just as this seller claims to also not have an agreement regarding the folders. I can almost guarantee that I would be called on the carpet if I posted pics of either right now and yet there are so many supporters of the guy selling the folder.:confused:

I would probably sell them too if I knew I could get that much for them. I guess I am saying I would probably go about it in a different way. Possibly contacting Jerry first, then selling via a different method, like on the EX here.

dang.....I missed my sarcasm 101 class today:D

I guess I missed it too because you lost me.

I am not a make waves kind of guy so please don't make it any more than it is, which is an opinion.

Our agreement as being part of the test team was to hold off for 6 months, I can't possibly imagine agreeing to "never" sell or show off a blade, that said of course I would honor any agreement I made with Jerry but we were not there at the time the blade was sold and it doesn't sound like Jerry wants to, or needs to comment here about what really went on.

I'd like to have one but if it goes for anything near the cost of the first one, that's a bit too rich for my blood.

I do like the first one that sold better, recurves don't really do it for me.

Im new here but my 2 cents...Jerry and "he" know their arrangement. Hopefully "he" can sleep with himself at night....in the end Im sure most of us agree a few hundred dollars shouldnt be worth your reputation...hopefully he honored their deal.....now with that wheres my TB!!! I think i must have ordered one of the last ones before it switched over to the NEW BM....and all of your are right, I just got this started and the sickness spreads fast... Ive already found a badger I had to get as well.....damn it! INFI-ected

rion, upon communicating with the shop, it will be about 2-4 wks before the last shipment of tb's go out

I know who the person is as I talked to him for a long time after I bought the first folder he put up. If you don't know the person, then why are you calling him a d-bag? He was a pleasant person to talk to and says there was never an agreement to not sell the folders (he had six total, five still), only to wait a couple of years until Jerry got the patent. He said he had waited over five years and since Jerry got the patent, he felt he fullfilled his obligation. He said since he only bought knives as an investment, that if there had been a stipulation that the folders couldn't ever be sold, he never would have bought them. He bought many many Busse knives as an investment and sold most all of them, these are some of the few he has left.

.

I don't know who you spoke to. But the original owner knew the agreement. If he told you this story, he is a liar. He lied to me. . . and now he has lied to you. . .

The agreement was to wait until the folder was released. There are several HOGs amongst you who have prototypes under this same agreement. You'll note that they will not even acknowledge that they own one. . . . Why?. . . Because they are men of honor. . . . He is not.

Let's Drink!

Jerry :D
