Thanks for the opportunity and I love that orange knife!

My favorite is this #85 bullet jack from GEC. I love the stag and the weight of the knife. I keep asking myself why I'm looking at purchasing other knives when I can't get this one out of my pocket!

I'm in and thanks for the chance. In spite of my current fascination w/ GEC models (I have 3). The one knife I keep dropping in my pocket is my Case Blue Bone Med Stockman (2000). I've had it for 12 years, The sheepsfoot blade is the most used. It's finally showing a bit of wear.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I bought this John Howser lockback two years ago at my first BLADE show. I finally got over the hump about 6 months ago, and started carrying it, occasionally.

That's a nice piece of kit. Thanks for the giveaway.

My favorite "user" traditional folder is my Schatt & Morgan Harness Jack. I have other knives that are nicer, some that I like more, but no other knife that I own combines craftsmanship and good looks in such an affordable package. I take the train to work and have inadvertently had knives fall out of my pocket so I won't risk my KHnutbuster or my Ohta knife while wearing slacks. I carry this HJ the most.

Good carbon blades, I use the screw driver tip on the bottle opener quit a bit and the awl works great striking a ferro rod.

Thank you Kevin, very kind of you!

This little Schrade Walden 708Y may not be the most beautiful, or even the most useful (the clip blade is just a bit over 2"), but it is certainly the most meaningful to me. I gave this as a gift to my grandfather Christmas of 1971. In less than a year he died unexpectedly at the age of 60. My grandmother gave it back to me that Christmas while we were all still shocked by his passing. I have carried it some, even managed to break the tip off the clip blade as a young boy. Now it mostly sits in honored retirement.

Here it is on top of my grandfather's Bible, open to the Christmas story from Luke chapter 2 that he used to read to our gathered family each year at Christmas Eve, just after dinner and before we opened our gifts. My grandmother also gave me his Bible and asked me to read the Christmas story that year, which I did each year until I left for college.

Awesome posts! Thanks everyone for taking the time :)

Here is a progress shot:

KRG_9450-1.jpg

The end result will have the leather finely leveled and loaded with green compound. I am going to finish the wood natural so no oils have the chance to attack the adhesive. It will be finished with tripoli buffing compound on a buffer and then coated with Ren Wax for a final sealant. It is designed to be tall enough to fit in the palm of your hand during stropping.

Please keep them coming :)

BTW, I forgot to mention. The post number will be the entry number and I will use the random.org tool. If anyone posts more then once to comment on other's post etc, the first post number will be the applicable entry.

I remember now, its not all fun doing a give away, when you see so many good people enter you want to give it to everyone.

Hi guys!

Thank you Kevin for the chance at that giveaway!

My favorite user, til now, is the Case Medium Stockman Chestnut Bone with CV blades. The size fits perfectly in hand and pocket. The used Carbonsteel gives a great edge and holds it pretty long. The Stockman itself is my favorite pattern. I like possibility of three blades to choose for any cutting job, that should have to be done. I use that one for any jobs. Food preparing and opening packages and all such things. It gets the most pocket time and in-hand-time :)

Great knife! Here´s a pic. That one has been taken in the backyard of my house (160 years old built by my great-great-grand-pa)

richstag (Kevin): thanks for the chance.

My favorite in general is the serpentine Stockman pattern, and I have a bunch. The one I use the most around here is my Case 6.5 bonestag large Stockman. This one's 4-1/4" long closed, and I'm starting to look at smaller knives now.

I didn't realize just how big it was until I got it in 2008, and since it was going to be my all-around beater, I rounded & polished the bolsters, filed the kicks to drop the blades lower in the handle, lowered the top of the main blade, and later turned the spay blade into a sort of drop-point/spear point type (with swedge). Works really well for steaks and food prep.:)

It's so hard to pick a true and definite favorite, in a way, I am shunning the others.
In the last week I have been EDCing a Buck 501, but I made my way back to the Bull Nose. I don't know what it is, but this knife has been getting the most time, I've tried a few different knives since I got this one, but none of them stick like this one. Is it a favorite, yes, is it the favorite? No. I don't know that there can be a favorite.

Thanks for the chance Kevin, it's really looking good.

Great give away Kevin!! I'd love a chance at this one. My favorite is my GEC #48 Jack. I've been using it since I got it a year ago. I love the way it feels in hand and the way it looks. The main blade is big enough for anything and is pinchable. The secondary pen is also a very useful, relatively long (same size as the clip blade on a Case Peanut) but is unnoticeable when using the main clip.

Thanks for the chance, Kevin. It would be a pleasure to use such a nice strop!!
My favorite (mostly) is this beauty. It really rides in the pocket well and takes and holds a sharp edge. Has two different shaped blades that seem to cover all my needs.

Can't post pictures up now, but mine is a GEC #72 Yellow Rose. The size is just good for my EDC and the blade length is perfect for my chores whatever it may be especially for cutting and slicing fruit. I'm a sucker for yellow handles so that's also a big part of it.

The random.org really threw me off. It picked either one of my posts or knarfeng a few times. Then it hit one lucky guy's post number.

I have been wanting to get one of these for a while, but I was too lazy. :D
Kevin has saved the day and he did it in style. I love this thing and all I have is a pic.
