 braking dill bits in Ti had to fix the welder
and other little PITA going ons today

im done in the shop for a while today and if pounding hot steel doesn't go well or least cheer me up i might just call in sick the rest of the work day and have a few beers

Sometimes you need to walk away and take a break for a day to get a fresh start later and feel better. I feel like that with my meager beginning at this hobby. Good luck.

problem is tho that if im not workign i dont make any $$

makes me wish that i had a job that i didnt care about to go to

ok not that bad yet but dam

workign a Ti frame lock folder in 10V and braking about 5 bits has me a bit put off

Since it's your main source of income push through with this project or start the next one in line (as a short break) then come back to this one and grab a few beers when your just done for the day. If you can avoid a typical 9-5 job comfortably you're doing okay and I would keep that.

Hope the hotworking goes well for you Butch. Whenever I get to a frustrating point in the shop I just start working on something else until I'm ready to go back to it. Don't do this for money, but it works for me.

If it helps to put it into perspective, you could try forging some of that 10V... Then the rest of your week will feel less frustrating in comparison :).

hot workighn went well got the wrought banged out and a roller bearing for 2 inch round to 3/8 x?x? and soem blisters to boot

guess a stockremover should maybe not hammer a bunch all at once
i am looking at the day a bit better now so after this brake i ll be milling guards in wrought

Knock off the excuses, Butch, and get back in there and break a few more drill bits !!! :D

When it gets that bad, you know who to call ;)

Glad the fire worked out well....Are you ready to use a power hammer on the next one instead of being stubborn?

I sometimes feel this way too, the other day I spent close to an hour trying to get my filing jig set right, then it collapses into a pile. :grumpy:
It is sometimes nice that I don't have to do it since it is a hobby, but sometimes it is easy to put it off too

well i should have not bothered to go back into the shop after dinner
broke an endmill and a cobalt drill bit

then dropped my dial calipers and there not right now

woohooo

well im now having my beer adn not toucking a dam thing in the shop any more today

better luck tomorrow i hope
