It's fun to find a knife that seems like someone read your mind!

Interesting. I'm finding that I enjoy the ergonomics of this knife working through the cardboard more than other knives I've used and that includes actual box cutters. It's also WAY easier to get through the heavy plastic strapping with the Benchmade.

I certainly understand what you're saying, but my initial reaction is that this knife is a better all around knife than some others I've used at the shop and that includes some nice, thin folders and other Benchmades that were thinner.

Maybe it's just the honeymoon! :D

The user's happiness is all that really matters in the long run. I'm the first to admit I'm on the thin blade pep squad. And also that most blade preferences only affect a fraction of a percent of a knife's usefulness. So I might preach a thin, wharncliffe's amazing piercing ability. Yet if I had a thicker drop point, or trailing point, my EDC needs would still be handled with very little difference.
So you have to get what feels good in hand, or good in pocket, what locks open with a snap, or even what you just like to look at. Keep it sharp and you're good to go.
