  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

It's getting late in the month...

Hey, I live overseas and finally recieved an email from SMKW...shipping was almost 100 bucks for a tweener. But hey, if you can live with that and the rough fit and finnish...

I had no idea that shipping was 100 dollars to australia. That's more than the knife! $180 for a tweener......are you going to get it?

That's insane and I have no idea how they justify that price. $35(ish) for Priority I can kind of deal with although I have never yet been let down by First Class International ($15ish for a knife this size).

The grind was a BIT off, but it's something that can be fixed literally in five minutes with my fine stone and strop, and that's something that is just gonna happen with factory knives, had it on Benchmade knives and others as well, gotta go custom if you REALLY need a perfect grind. Handles are flush and besides that drip (did you see the pics I posted above?) and the SLIGHT off grind, it's a great knife. I will probably buy the 16 right when it comes out because I trust Ethan when he said that they will have these small things worked out more towards full production AND the coating is a different kind of coating, a more coarse coating that I don't believe is as prone to drips and such.

gotcha RogueBowie - i did see the pix bf. i shoulda read ur original post more carefuly as u already mentioned the grind being a bit off but i appreciated the additional info u provided this last response. i once received an Ontario RAT 3 w a ridiculously uneven grind, not a big deal - it just surprised me that it got past QC. anyways wil prob order BK17 soon. thanks:)

Because after waiting months, I can get it for 15$ more....Now. The writing on the blade does not bother me and I wont see it when im using it. I know I wont be wishing I had waited when the next ones come out because I will have one of those too.

And I think the chances of Kabar releasing these on time is pretty unlikely. I didn't want to keep on waiting who knows how long.

The holdup on the Machaxs was the sheaths. We already KNOW they have tweener sheaths, because SMKW is selling them. However, if they don't plan on realeasing them as stated, it'd be better to say so now then after Apr. 1st.

I deem March the longest month ever in history ever...and it still seems as though April won't come for another few years so I guess I'll just keep reading forums of the FPR and crying myself to sleep every night.
