...and so many people I know having lived here their whole lives have never gone up.

Anytime I'm in a bad mood, I run up and I'm happy again. What's funny is, the parking lot is never filled with NH plates, it's plates from all over the country, I guess the locals don't appreciate living near it. Living within walking distance of it certainly has its perks though!

Off topic, but I post here and know people here more than other places on this forum, so what the hell.

No post processing besides cropping off my Nikon.

Which mountain is it? Mt. Washington? Just a guess, as I've never been up there, but I know that you can drive up.
I went to a summer camp in NH as a kid, and have been up Cardigan and a bunch of other mountains in the area a few times.

Great shots!

Thanks guys!

Jaxx, it's Mt Monadnock, it's 3,165 feet but no car path. I wish I lived close enough to the White Mountains to climb them daily, my life would be amazing. Mt Washington is some hours north of where I am, hopefully will be heading up to hike Washington at the end of summer, then cut my teeth with a Washington climb in the winter.

At a normal pace you can probably hit the summit in two hours, but I've been on a crazy challenge trying to beat my time up, each day so I'm at about 50 minutes up. Ideally would like to be doing it 40 minutes up, but like I said, that's a sprint.

Beautiful pictures and scenery Mike, looks like your really getting good with that new camera. You've got access to some awesome mountains.
We don't have any like that in missouri. Wish we did though. :(

I may have been born on the coast, but every time I see the mountains I know where my heart really is. Thanks for the pics :) :)

Wow, that's beautiful. I can see how that place could be a mood adjuster...

New Hampshire is a beautiful part of the States. I was there 2 weeks ago visiting a friend in Peterborough. If I ever moved to the US it would be my first choice.:)
(buy the way this pic was taken last September)

Your pics are awesome. Thanks for sharing!

I am a fan of the NH countryside.

I've only driven through the White Mountains.

I'd also like to add that the Dixville notch is one of the coolest spots on the planet. I discovered that when I took a wrong turn one day.

It's nice to see that you get out and enjoy it.
