It's Heeeerrrr! - Ashokan Sword Year 2016 registration

Already over 75 people pre-registered for this , so if anyone is sitting on the fence about attending ( here's a hint.. you should attend! ) You should probably register soon!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there, it's only 5 weeks away !!

Havent seen you in a couple years now Dan, we need to get together more since you're just down the road from me =D

Saturday is kilt day as far as I am concerned. I know a bunch of the "Brotherhood of the Bent Blade" fellows will be sporting them. I ordered a new custom workman's kilt from Utilikilts for working in the forge and around the house and have barely broke it in yet.

In an effort to help new attendees be safe:
All people in purple shirts and a fez are crazy people! However, they are very entertaining.

Don Agee is bringing up VA ham and fixin's this year, and I am bringing the cigars for the Saturday Night get together and sampling tour.

Saturday night is always fun, but it will likely never meet the standard we set out in the field during the middle of the night many years back. We must have sampled well over $5000 of rare malts that night. Ardbeg Supernova, Millennium, 100 year old, etc. IIRC, it took Kevin a week to recuperate :)

Just at 96 people signed up as of today, that's a sizeable crowd right there!

Now 104 people registered ! going to be a large crowd with swords! :)

There's still time folks, when I saw your post I contacted Tim Neu at Ashohan and just got his response shown below

Thanks for your messages. We had set a registration limit of 100 people at the last Sword seminar, because of limitations with the old Ashokan facility and lack of AV equipment.

Both of those issues have been resolved with the capacity of the new Ashokan facility at 150, and with the new PA system and video monitor, we can comfortably handle that same number for the program. Please post this information, along with a reminder that registration fees go up after 9/1, so please register now!

Stacy, if you are travelling up Monday morning via 95, you will be going right by my office. I keep a well cared for humidor on my desk and I have a some cigars I would love to gift you. I am one minute off 95 exit 74.

Kevin,
That is a nice offer. Unfortunately, we take the eastern shore up to the NJTP. We are also going a bit early for you to be at work.

BTW, I was going to send you an email tonight. I tore the shop and garage apart this weekend and could not find the spare file guide. Go ahead and order one. I set the Hitachi white aside to try and send off as soon as I can. Since I couldn't find the guide, I am sending you a whole 1/2 meter stick of Hitachi white #2 with a sheet of HT data. The bar is still wrapped in the Japanese Yasuki paper.

Sorry to hear that...

Total registered as of Sept 4th: 119
