Its Heresy I tell ya!

Looks Awesome !!! I'll have to try a swedge on one of mine soon ;)

I like the thumb groves. I wonder if that is doable on a BATAC. What kind of tools are needed to add thumb groves? Any suggstions?

They were most likely either done with a dremel or diamond coated files. Normal files will probably wear out pretty damn fast on hardened INFI.

Ok. Thanks for the info. So just clamp the blade in a vice and go to town with a file or dremel? Or is there a better way? Does a BATAC lend itself well to this mod? Has anybody done this to a BATAC yet or am I the first to consider doing this. I would appreciate any feedback and pics. It's my first Busse and I am a little leary of trying something a my not like when I am done.

As far as I know you will most likely be the first to do it on a BATAC. I would also make life alot easier if you first removed the handle slabs. You will get nicer even cuts that way without having to worry about mucking up the handles.

Next question then. How do I get the slabs off and then back on.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the great feedback.

I did the thumb notches and finger notches with a dremmel tool with a cutoff wheel. It takes a little practice. I did the finger choil on a spindle sander with a 1/2" sanding band. I started out grinding a simple penetrator tip on my belt grinder, but decided to take it a little further. I guess it is more of a swedge now.

For those that asked about these mods for yours, I'm pretty backed up with work at the moment, but I should be caught up sometime in September. I'll drop a note here on the forums around then.

Thanks again,
Scott
