Today is my birthday! Im sure someone will want to send me a present right???????? (someone send me a firesteel and an izula!) Its my birthday and I want presents. Ok maby Im dreaming about the izula, but i cant afford one): it would be nice to be sent a free ferro rod. O and I also want a small pocket fine sharpening stone! I also have a sharpening question: how do i make sure my tip doesnt get rounded during sharpening?

As for the sharpening question, I'm not totally sure I understand your question.... I've never rounded a tip when sharpening a blade, you just set the angle and swipe (or pull, or whatever you wanna call it) the blade across the stone. I might not be understanding you though.....

Na, if you do it properly, you should be fine.
Sounds to me like you have a tendancy to change your angle too much at the end of your stroke.
Pay attention to that next time and see if it works better for you.
