So I had to go over to my mother in laws to do some work today, saddled up the old work truck with the kids in the back and got stuck on the one road connecting us to town, and the rest of the world beyond, for about an hour. Sucked, anyway on the way back (kid less) I got stuck again and ended up killing the time but pulling out my hiker (my work knife for the day and taking a picture.
Then I remembered i had a Buck 102 sitting around int he cab (thank's to Macks recent post and a heck of a deal at a flea market.) - sorry for the crappy background it's just an ole work truck and my favorite method of transport
Don't know it's old or anything but it's my first buck fixed blade and I have to say (warts and all) I like it.
So the traffic is still where it was last time I looked up, and I remembered that I had some other stuff around. Like the firesteel always by the hikers side:
and Kentucky's "national" drink
and my lighter (insides curtsey of Myke himself!) and my homemade tobacco pouch, again ugly but works, and again I made it because of the interests I picked up on BF, and specifically, here at Jk knives
and the flashlight I keep in the truck (from a side interest I picked up here)
and I'm alive so the JK Tk is close by (but I forget how that's related to here

)
with it's own firesteel attached to it's sheath (thanks sitflyer!)
and my keys aren't exactly unequipped (yes I had the time to turn the engine off and pull them out, I wasn't hurrying either) - all from suggestions and ideas brought up here
and of course there's the leatherman my wife got me that lives in here as well - because i spend so much time here
I don't know what my point is other then it felt like there was one. Maybe it's that I'm blessed to always have, close to hand, some kind of reminder of the forum here and the great folks on it (Chevy may run deep...

...but Jk knives cuts deeper? ha ha ha , made myself laugh), maybe it's just that Jk knives has become a part of my everyday life and that makes me happy, maybe it's that you shouldn't try to steal anything from me if I'm in my pick-up

or that it's really bad it to do this when waiting for the man with the stop/slow sign to move because you end up having to pull away with a bunch of very sharp things in your lap?
I don't know, just sharing it anyway
Edit: Just realized I forgot the modified SAK in my pocket (from a recommendation by John no less)
