That is one nasty accident avoided and we are glad that you survived to tell the tail soon after and not from the emergency room.

Unbeknown to us all Phil has now been inducted into the roll of UND, Urban Ninja Drivers. Having been subjected to the sudden test of the “Sudden Sofa-Hidden Chair” he managed the sedan side slip, saloon spin.
 
I think too few people realize just how helpful sliding the rear out can be. It's about the best way to get out of the way if there is a guaranteed collision if not performed.

Glad that you missed everything. What I don't get is how did the cop miss the chair if he was following you?

That was how the cam belt was invented. Some Master Ninja Driver had a problem with his car and he took his highly notched belt off and used it to replace his fan belt and the idea grew to use it on his cam drive for extra performance:p!
