Well, I saw them, but I will promptly unsee them, and now that I've seen them, they were absolutely out of this world, but now unseen they are just a blank. I'm not really sure there was or is any damage done. Just a matter of hours now and they will be fondled and drooled over by whomever and I doubt the edge (no pun) will be taken off the excitement.
Thank you Paul, I quite agree.
Yes Kevin - that's a predictable response from you. As I said, if there was a genuine concern you could have sent an e-mail and not introduced such ugliness into a well-intended thread. Since you say you expected a sarcastic response - and if that had been actually your real concern - you could have had that unfold privately instead of publicly.
But you couldn't pass up an attempt to, yet again, make a public effort to make me look bad. You made that choice - don't try to shift the blame eslewhere.
Face it - anyone with eyes can see that what really has you bothered is that someone dared to intrude upon what you perceive as your exclusive franchise.
And since you don't know what the circumstances are as between Chuck and I regarding posting photos, maybe you should not presume. I don't make a point of asking Chuck permission each time I post one of his photos. Reason being that a) I had a talk with Chuck about this at Little Rock this year - about what a great resource his photo site is. He even showed me how to access hi-res versions of each of his photos instead of just the standard size shown. Chuck's photo site exists to promote the work of the makers he has shot and to promote his own considerable photo skills. As you know, he links his photo site to every post he makes on your forum. And just so we're clear - the 'all rights reserved' tag is something that rests inder every photo on his site - not something specially reserved for this photo as you have so misleadingly implied.
Your attempt to cast this as some underhanded covert incursion on my part is as offensive as it is laughable. I have posted countless pics from his site over the years - either to start discussion points or to contribute to them. I have recieved precisely zero complaints from Chuck or anyone. To the contrary, I have received many notes of thanks from the makers involved for showing their work. The only complaint in all that time has come from a predictable source, for an entirely transparent and petty reason.
Again, out of an abundance of caution, I have e-mailed Chuck to ask if I have in any way misunderstood what I perceived to be his general blessing to post photos from his site. If he tells me I have it wrong, you can be sure I will both aplogize and never post another again.
As for you Kevin - you just have a Merry Christmas, okay?
And for those who want to view the pic, just head to Chuck's site and have a gander:

I know looking at the pic again made my Christmas a little brighter - I hope it does the same for you all.
Roger
PS - belatedly taking Coop's advice and shutting this down. Something I have never had occasion to do in all my years on BF. But regrettably, it seems the better course.
