Thinking about taking it apart to do a deep cleaning, but it is pinned together. Would any of you guys be worried about breaking a pin?

If it cleans up and the barrel looks good, I'd use it. I shoot my Winchester 22 from the late 20's all the time. I hunt with a Springfield 1903 when I've got long range potential.

Oh I've put a couple hundred rounds through it. Shoots fine, but I think it sat for a while before I got it and sort of gummed up.

That kind of limits the variation of the entries, though. And seeing as I'm certain a lot of people would enter it may be hard to choose a winner when most of the blades would be so similar. Considering it would be a 1000 Becker sub forum posts giveaway and it would be for beckerheads I think that should be more than enough to qualify as Becker related. Also I think that seeing blades of greater variation would be much more interesting.

I've already started on my design and hope this contest will be a thing. It's been a lot of fun so far. Long time since I used photoshop for anything else than some simple color grading, and I'm feeling my creative juices flowing :D (Don’t try to imagine that..)
Hopefully I'll be a Beckerhead by the time this hypothetical contest goes up.

I disagree. We have entire threads full of different designs, all centering around Becker handles and such, and most entries are very different from eachother. Sure, there is similarity on occasion, but ultimately the vast majority of designs were different.

Are there many threads with blade designs? I haven’t been around for too long but so far I have only seen this one. And sure, it’s full of very impressive designs. But almost all of those designs were made by SilentJohn. I think there were about 4 or 5 others who posted designs in that thread (Your design was quite cool btw).

Then again there may be many designs in other threads. So you may be right about that. But I still think it would be more fun with fewer limitations :)

Damn, you've been busy. But that still makes one of my points clearer. So many designs have already been done by a very limited group of people. That means that in order for their designs to be original people would have to get very creative and may end up with something that is less functional.

I’m not saying that all possible designs have already been done. I just think it further limits the span of what people can submit.

I wouldn’t mind if some of those designs of yours went into production, though. Especially the tweener variants.
 
Just got back from the honeymoon yesterday. The wife and I hit up the Bahamas and Disneyworld. It was AWESOME!! Missed my knives though. Did I miss much here? How is Blade stuff coming?

u didnt miss much, except Ethan gave us all a prototype BK18, too bad u missed that.

I'm not sure if that's Beckerhead related enough. In past contests, it's had to have more Becker content than that.

This might be a viable option, but I don't want to tread on Ethan's toes.

Here's a thought: instead of a straight copy, each design has to START around a Becker handle shape, but it can, and should get modified (maybe with steps showing how it's getting altered and why). Then, if we come up with some particularly cool ideas, Ethan will have a whole thread of things he can do. After all, this sort of thing is how the Eskabar was born.

Yeah, who knew you could do bushcraft with a mini lightsaber. Heck, who knew Ka-Bar had that technology?
 
The Bahamas was amazing. The Sandals resort we stayed at blew my mind. Swim up bars, the works. I just smiled most of the time :D

I can't even express how mad I am that I did not get the Becker lightsaber. Do beckerheads get to chose the color of their crystals?

Yeah, OD Green and Orange went pretty quick though. I think only the pink ones are left.
