It's so close to my ideal knife...

...but it's not really a Spyderco. It's a Byrd Catbyrd. This is the closest I've ever seen to my ideal folder. It's a framelock with a bladehole and tip up carry. I like it so much I ordered two more in case I break or lose it. But it's still not my ideal. Here's what would make it perfect:

1. Spyderco, not Byrd. I hate that it's made by commies.
2. Titanium frame instead of stainless for wright reduction.
3. Dark finished pocket clip mounted for deeper carry.
4. VG10 or some other super steel instead of 8Cr13MoV

Sal, if you produce these I'll buy 10 myself!

Please?:D

Ti ATR, its close. The comp lock is kind of a framelock, and you would need to send it off to STR for a lowrider clip. Other than that, you could have STR Ti framelock a Spydie liner lock? Then drill and tap for his lowrider clip. Maybe look into custom makers who use the Spyder hole? Your "the knife" is out there, you just need to find it...... or have it made for you. :D

... Finding a Ti ATR could be problem?

Sal will listen.

Your Catbyrd cost 30$ You want a Ti-Framelock with VG-10 or better blade steel that is US made and excellent QC. If Sal did decide to turn your dream into production how much would you pay for it? $100, $200, more? I'm curious to know how much you would shell out for it.

If Spyderco made a small framelock I just might give up the Sebenza!

Wow!! What a thought. I'd buy one too.

But on second thought, would Sal copy another brand?

But yeah, a Ti framelock w/ a VG10 PE blade.........

My Benchmade Pinnacle 750 is all of these things except for the Spyderco round hole---titanium framelock with ATS 34 blade. I gave $90 for it new about 10 years ago. Given that what I'm asking for would be my perfect knife and given 10 years of inflation, I think $150 would be good.
