Its that time again

I feel like the proverbial boy who cried wolf. Took it home, put it under bright light, and realized the reason it look weird is that it was positively slathered in oil. Wiped it off, looked at it very closely, everything is good. Still miffed about the missing paperwork. Sigh. I'm a moron. Sorry for wasting y'all's time.
 
Well I'm glad it's legit. The paper doesn't help you cut anything so not a huge loss, although understood.
 
Not a waste of time at all. We all learn from the experiences of others. I appreciate you sharing the story.
 
Wow that was a close one. Happy that you decided to keep it. It happened to me once, tho mine was really a fake. I bought a Ka-Bar new generation on ebay. The seller looked 100% legit and it had the ka-bar box and papers everything. After a month of waiting, receive the knife, open the package and there it was, a fake Chinese piece of $hit. Tried to talk with the seller, never responded to my mails. So I put in an awfull review, and made a complaint to pay-pal. Got my money back and gave the knife to one of my friends. Waiting for a knife and getting a fake is awfull...
 
Its hard very not to feel paranoid. I haven't picked up a pm2 yet because of so many fake pm2 stories although I do t think there are as many fakes out there vs the real thing...still paranoid about it.
