It's time to clean house

Andy, I think the MSM is unbearably conservative -- it's all a matter of one's perspective!

If the mainstream media is getting accused of being "too" something from both ends of the spectrum, they are probably holding ground somewhere close to the center, right? Nah. Most Americans who call themselves "moderate" are so insanely neo "conservative" that anything even approaching true moderation looks liberal to them. I am just saying, these terms only apply when compared to the whole. Outside of that context, they are completely arbitrary.

For example, I think NPR is frequently too "conservative." I think the Democratic party looks like Republicanlite altogether too often these days.

Explain to me what, exactly, is "fair and balanced" or even slightly liberal about Fox News? Someone? Anyone?

What's even more interesting is that this country could have another Bush for president in about 20-30 years, George P. With his familial connections and the growing power of the Latino vote, he might just become the first president of Latino descent.

1) Up the amount you can donate to an individuals campaign, but limit contributions to only those people who can actually cast a vote for them. This would force politicians back into their districts for more one on one contact.

2) For 10 years after a person has served in the Presidency, House, Senate, or Supreme Court no relative can be elected or appointed.

3) For 5 years after a senator, congressman, president or cabinet member gets out of office, they cannot work for any industry that they regulated while in the admin. This would prevent the "revolving door" where industry rewards politicians with jobs for favors performed to their industries while in office.

I really like 1 and 3. It makes a lot of sense to only allow an individual's constituents (or potential constitutents) to give him or her money. The whole system of financing campaigns has been messed up by the "$=speech" thing.

I also agree that the media are generally conservative. I recently read an article on a study looking at the guests and comentators on news programs. Unsurprisingly, they were overwhelmingly male and white. A reason CNN is considered liberal? Only 57% of their guests were Republican. Wish I could find it to post.

Bad english from my side, or he already did?

I was referring to 1st Amendment freedoms, not 2nd. So yes, he has certainly infringed on our constitutional rights.
